Katy Perry looks absolutely stunning on July’s edition of Vogue magazine.
This has to be one of my favorite pictures of her ever. I love the romance that oozes from it: the floral print dress, blood red lips and matte skin. She would be perfect for the cover of one of those lusty novels by Danielle Steele.
So how can you get the look this weekend?
Katy’s look is easy to pull off because it is an effortless beauty and fashion shot. Here’s a few things you’ll need:
- Nars Sheer Matte Foundation Forget that dewy foundation, sparkly highlights, glittered-out bronzers. KIMS: Katy is matte, silly. If your a fellow oily gal, use a top-notch primer such as Becca Oil Controlling primer. This stuff crushes oil!
- Nars Shanghai Express lipstick The deeper the red, the more romantic it is. Drama, people, drama! I’m sure you get the jest. Another good choice here would be the beauty-acclaimed Mac Ruby Woo lipstick {or even the latest RiRi Woo lipstick}.
- Maybelline Telescopic Shocking Lengths mascara I cannot stop raving about this mascara lately. I pile tons of it on everyday and it has been good to me. Katy’s lashes are natural but bold! This mascara is amazing at lengthening and it also gives your lashes a fuller look. If you can’t find a mascara that can do both, do the mascara cocktail. It’s proven. Tested. Fail proof
- Something Floral and Flowing Of course I had to mention the gorgeous floral dress she’s wearing. During the summer, you can find something cute and flowery EVERYWHERE. Just remember to keep your accessories dainty and minimal. For this look, it’s all about the beauty shot.
