Kara Chutney

Kara Chutney is a spicy chutney with the hotness contributed from roasted red chillies and fresh garlic along with fried onion. This taste yumm with idly, dosa but can be a good accompaniment for curd rice too.
Serves: 4 Preparation time: 5 minutes Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
3 regular onions chopped roughly 20 red chilly (long ones) 10 pods of garlic Few curry leaves salt as per taste 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
For seasoning:
1 teaspoon of Mustard Few Curry Leaves 1  tablespoon of sunflower oil

Heat oil in a wok and fry curry leaves till crisp. Add red chillies and fry till a nice roasted aroma arises. Add onion and salt and fry till oil becomes golden brown. Kara Chutney | How to make Kara Chutney
Remove contents and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Grind in a mixer grinder along with garlic without water. Heat the same wok with oil and add curry leaves and mustard. Fry for 2 minutes and serve hot with steaming idlies. Kara Chutney | How to make Kara Chutney
