Kanye West is coming to Glastonbury for their festivals headlining act. The megastar will play the Pyramid Stage on Saturday night during the five-day music event. Glastonbury Festival is billed as the largest green-field music and performing arts festival in the world.
Kanye tweeted “EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE IM HEADLINING PYRAMID STAGE SATURDAY NIGHT @GLASTOFEST THIS YEAR.” Kanye is the second rapper to headline the festival, the first being his mentor Jay Z. Previous headliners include Beyoncé, Coldplay, U2, Paul McCartney, and The Rolling Stones.
In addition to Kanye, the Foo Fighters will headline Friday and Lionel Richie and the Dalai Lama will appear on Sunday. The full 2015 lineup will be announced later this spring.
