Just Read It! Book Club: Our March Read!

By Theliteraturelion @LiteratureLion
As my post yesterday said, Bailey from Novel Nerd and I have started up a young adult online book club! Not sure what it's about? Here are our introduction posts.
Just Read It! Book Club: Our March Read!

Since today is the first of March, we will be starting our first novel for the book club. Usually, we would take a poll to determine our first book, but since it's our first month we just chose it ourselves.

This month's book is: Dualed by Elise Chapman

Dualed (Dualed, #1)

You or your Alt? Only one will survive.
The city of Kersh is a safe haven, but the price of safety is high. Everyone has a genetic Alternate—a twin raised by another family—and citizens must prove their worth by eliminating their Alts before their twentieth birthday. Survival means advanced schooling, a good job, marriage—life.

Fifteen-year-old West Grayer has trained as a fighter, preparing for the day when her assignment arrives and she will have one month to hunt down and kill her Alt. But then a tragic misstep shakes West’s confidence. Stricken with grief and guilt, she’s no longer certain that she’s the best version of herself, the version worthy of a future. If she is to have any chance of winning, she must stop running not only from her Alt, but also from love . . . though both have the power to destroy her.
Elsie Chapman's suspenseful YA debut weaves unexpected romance into a novel full of fast-paced action and thought-provoking philosophy. When the story ends, discussions will begin about this future society where every adult is a murderer and every child knows there is another out there who just might be better.
Now that we've released the book title, it's your job to go and read it within the next three weeks! Then you can follow this schedule for the rest of the month:
March 15: Discussion questions posted The Literature Lion & Novel Nerd
March 24: Literature Lion & Novel Nerd post their responses to the discussion question + Linky
March 25: Interview with Elise Chapman on Literature Lion & Novel Nerd
March 24 - 31: Post your responses to the discussion questions on your blog and comment on others!
If you're participating in the book club, feel free to put some of these in your sidebar!
