Just because you could play the position, doesn't mean you can coach it. Otherwise every hall of fame player, would become a hall of fame coach.
What am I getting at?
Carnell Lake.
Yes he was a great secondary player for the Steelers, but as a secondary coach for the Steelers (IMO) he has been absolutely dreadful!
So with that simplistic statement (meaning, it takes more than just a coach to field a good team) What is everyone's take on Lake and the secondary?
Is he the problem?
Part of the problem?
A victim of the problem?
The solution to the problem?
Is our hope that, the new players drafted will improve the D and we will win another Superbowl, just a pipe dream because Lake will **** it up with his awful coaching.
Or, does Lake finally have the talent he needed to fix the secondary and we are ready for Number 7!
