Last weekend my Mom, sister and I went to the ultimate place to find old, but amazing junk! Junk Bonanza was in town at Canterbury Park in Shakopee and it was awesome. It’s a three day event which started on Thursday but there were plenty of things to see and buy on the last day. Oh and mark your calendar for April 18-20th when they have their first ever spring Junk Bonanza if you’re in to this sort of thing! I wish I would have taken more pictures but I was so consumed with looking at everything.
Here’s a shot at the parking lot on our way in. Guess we forgot to bring our U-Hauls.
And here’s the one picture I managed to take while inside. They’re old classroom posters! I remember having something like this in elementary school except it was always a map of some sort. Nowadays kids are learning off Ipads. Oh how the times have changed.
We spent a few hours walking around and finding treasures. I left with a few things in tow…I don’t know what this exactly is and I’m certain it’s not “farm fresh” but I thought it looked kind of cool.
This old egg baseket was my favorite purchase of the day. I’m using it for Stella’s toys…And I also picked up this bench for our kitchen. I’m thinking next spring I need to look for a couple old wire baskets to put underneath and fill with hats/mittens and shoes.
I had been looking forward to this weekend since the last time Junk Bonanza was in town. Now, I’m counting down to the next one!
