Here is “Jungle Glow.” This scene evokes images of birdsong and forest sprites playing.

The inspiration for this painting was a photo I took on a wooded trail near the Waitomo glowworm caves in New Zealand.

The two trees are back-lit by brilliant sunlight, filling the scene with a warm glow.

The painting continues around the deep edges of the canvas.

The bottom of the image is filled with dark, saturated colors–bright yellow leaves standing out against the cool darkness of the ground.

Golden highlights fall on the tree trunk on the left in a series of small yellow dots. The trees are painted in unconventional colors, including violet and magenta, alongside the deep green leaves and the clean white of the sunlit sky in the background. The colors work together harmoniously to create a happy image.

In the top third of the painting, the branches of the trees intertwine gracefully as they reach into the sky.

At 36″ x 12″, the vertical format is perfect for a tall wall, bringing a colorful light and uplifting energy to any space.
