I am Julieta I live in Uruguay; America was looking for some general dental repair and maintenance work as recently I had been neglecting my teeth due to lack of time and money. I also had some discoloration of my teeth as well as several old crowns and fillings of dubious quality. But my main reason was to regain full use of my mouth as for nearly 18 years I have been missing 3 lower molars meaning I couldn’t chew food properly! On top of that I wanted a beautiful smile. I am known for my big smile, it is part of my persona and I was no longer proud of it.
After doing my research and reading up on Dr Tarun Giroti in India, I sent an email requesting a quote. To my surprise, after calculating the travel costs, the cost of getting the implants and root canal treatment, and accommodation costs, I would only have to pay about 50% of the total price I was quoted in the US for the dental treatment which i so desperately needed. I immediately decided to take the journey to India to have my dental treatment done. Dr Tarun Giroti is extremely professional in his approach to work and the manner in which he undertakes all the treatments. He took a great deal of time examining my teeth, putting me at ease and discussing my options. To achieve the finished look I wanted I needed to have 8 fillings replaced, 3 root canal treatments, 6 Emax crowns and 3 Bredent implants. I chose to have my teeth laser whitened but opted to have no veneers as I wanted to keep the look of my natural teeth. The work was started on my first day and in total 6 consecutive days sometimes with 2 sessions’ morning and afternoon. Quite intense at times but Dr Tarun Giroti was painstakingly patient and meticulous in his attention to detail, always ensuring I was comfortable and in no pain or distress. Everything was explained fully to me. Dr Tarun Giroti takes enormous pride in the aesthetic finish of his work, shaping and color matching until it is just perfect. There were also two junior dentists in attendance acting as assistants and with Dr Giroti’s training and questions to them I found it interesting and informative plus it helped to distract me from thinking too much about the work going on in my mouth! The surgery required for putting in the implants was undertaken in the chair under sterile conditions. I was worried and nervous but felt very safe after talking to Dr Tarun Giroti. In fact the thought of the procedure was far worse than the reality and much faster than I had imagined. International patient coordinator of Dr Tarun Giroti was great as well making sure I was happy with my overall visit and finding my way about, booking taxis and offering cups of tea and friendly support. I have had the implants in place now for 2 months as well as 4 temporary crowns. I suffered no major discomfort, bruising or swelling and have had no problems or concerns with the quality of the work. I will be returning in another couple of weeks to complete the treatment. I was welcomed at the airport by them and we were driven in style to my accommodation. They were very attentive making sure I settled in ok and left me with a local mobile phone for me to use during my visit. The following morning they accompanied me to the clinic for my first meeting and assessment with Dr Tarun Giroti. The clinic was very clean, modern and light with all the latest equipment to hand. Dr Tarun Giroti is a stickler for detail and getting things just right taking a lot of time to explain what he could do and listening attentively to what I wanted to achieve which is so reassuring. One important thing to mention and something that really mattered to me is the time taken to complete the work. I was very discouraged by the thought of long drawn out procedures over several months with all the added inconvenience and dread. To achieve it all in the course of one full week with a follow up week for completion is worth a lot to me. It has also been a real pleasure to discover India, a lovely city and very friendly people. The positive experience kept me coming back to India to meet Dr Tarun Giroti, just for friendly visits with the staff.
