Jonty-Paper Mache Artist Extraordinaire

Before I put any new posts on this blog, I have to report that my friend and fellow paper mache artist, Jonty, passed away a few days ago.   He had a serious heart attack about a week ago, and he seemed to be doing just fine.   In fact, as was his usual, he'd just made about a dozen entries on his blog and at various paper mache groups to which he belonged.   He was a prolific paper mache artist, but he was also someone who pushed the envelope so far as paper mache techniques are concerned.  Just a few days ago he'd written to me telling me about a new variation he'd made to my "cloth mache" process.   Jonty was married and had six kids.  He will be missed.
