Jimi Hendrix,: Songs For Groovy Children: The Fillmore East Concerts

It's been a long time coming, but with the release of Songs For Groovy Children: The Fillmore East Concerts the four performances over the course of two legendary nights by Jimi Hendrix playing with his short lived Band of Gypsys will be finally available in full and their original running order as 5CD and 8LP box sets.

With Billy Cox on bass and Buddy Miles on drums Hendrix blew the roof on December 31, 1969 and January 1, 1970, playing a wealth of new songs and rejuvenated classics. A few songs were released on the Band of Gypsys live album and more tracks saw the light of day on posthymous releases like the 2CD Live at the Fillmore East in 1999 and Machine Gun: The Fillmore East First Show in 2016.

Songs For Groovy Children: The Fillmore East Concerts was mixed by Hendrix' longtime engineer Eddie Kramer. Release date: November 22.
