We can’t let summer go by without one more ice cream shop! This time it’s Jerry’s Deep Freezer in Parker City, Indiana.
Ice cream is one of my favorite things–and here at Jerry’s Deep Freezer, I had the chance to try a flavor even I haven’t seen in ages!

There’s a list of ice cream flavors here. Hand dipped flavors change but during our visit, we had our choice of Amaretto Cherry, Strawberry, Butter Pecan, and Strawberry–to name a short sample.
I hadn’t heard of two of them: Blueberry Cream ice cream and Amaretto Cherry!
What choice did I have? I got a small sample of both! Hubs sampled the Amaretto Cherry and ordered it (though I must say I really love cherry ice cream) and I went with the Blueberry Cream ice cream, a flavor I hadn’t seen anywhere since the Blueberry Festival I attended in the days before little Indiana went live more than four years ago!

Oh, that was great! My husband thought my Blueberry Cream ice cream cone looked so great that he wanted to try it! He agreed that it was awesome.
The portions at this Indiana ice cream parlor are definitely generous, too, which I really like!
Our boys both went with Superman ice cream. They were very pleased with their choice and so happy to participate in this bit of “research” for me while touring around Randolph County.

Another great Indiana ice cream parlor! You just have to love those mom and pop ice cream shops!
This is a seasonal business–but they won’t close for the season until they sell out! Call before you head out (as always). Located across the ballfield, I’m sure that helps make Jerry’s Deep Freezer THE local hangout.
