Jazz Morley’s ‘Bad Love’ is an Eloquent Confession [Stream]

Jazz Morley’s “Bad Love” is an eloquent confession of a familiar feeling — of finding new love and wanting to be the only one, but knowing that your lover has been with others. And while the name might portray a struggle, the track is far from hostile. With electronics that are calm and restrained, “Bad Love” is a movement towards new love, but a reflection on the contending emotions (insecurity and jealousy) that come with “the fear of being burned.” Morley’s gentle voice serenely presents these contradicting feelings, evenly laying out the potential hurt and love that she could experience if she decides to jump. But even through this tumultuous process, Morley is composed and accepting of these emotions.
