January 6, 2012 (365 Day Photo Challenge)

Although no one in my house is a Buddhist, we have had this idol in our garden for a good 5 years now. I especially love the way it has antiqued over time.

I decided to post two pictures today, taken at the same time, because I was testing something I had learnt about using the camera flash. Although it was a gloomy and cloudy day, the brighter of the two photographs is without the flash. So, by using the flash during daylight, I was actually able to make the photograph darker as seen in the second picture.
