Jammy Jams' Once Upon This Rock: Lullaby Renditions of Christian Rock Hits--Review

Babies love soothing sounds when they are sleepy. Parents love when the soothing sounds that lull babies to sleep are tunes they recognize and don't mind hearing on repeat.

Jammy Jams' Once Upon This Rock: Lullaby Renditions of Christian Rock is one of those lullaby albums that I definitely don't mind hearing on repeat! Thanks to Tomoson, I was given a free copy of this lullaby cd to review.

Jammy Jams was created by parents who wanted to be entertained by lullabies rather than be lulled to sleep themselves during late night feedings and diaper changings with their son.

This cd takes popular songs from Christian Rock and transforms them into lullabies using the  vibraphone, marimba, xylophone, piano, blocks and more. The songs are performed and arranged by Tim Phillips and Jeff Bradford.

From Jammy Jams:
On "Once Upon This Rock: Lullaby Renditions of Christian Rock Hits", Jammy Jams explores the world of modern Christian Rock and turns these tunes into calming lullaby versions to "rock" your little one to sleep.   You will be amazed as you listen to soothing lullabies featuring the melodies of '80s Christian Rockers Stryper, to '00s Alternative Metal giants P.O.D. and Flyleaf, to spiritual contemporary and pop artists like The Fray and Owl City and many more!
The Soothing sounds are what Jammy Jams is all about.  Experience these popular Christian Rock hits in a whole new way with baby today!

I really enjoy listening to this cd with my kids. The baby loves the soothing sounds during his naptime and I like to play it during homework time for my older two to keep them calm and focused. We also bring it along in the car for long car rides when the kids may be inclined to nap on the ride.

I  personally love the song choices, especially the songs: How to Save a Life by The Fray, Meant to Live by Switchfoot, Fully Alive by Flyleaf, and Fireflies by Owl City.
