Wetpaint.com: Who doesn’t miss Jamie Dornan (Sheriff Graham) on Once Upon a Time? The actor only made one appearance in Season 2, on Episode 17: “Welcome to Storybrooke,” but at least fans of the Irish hunk have his new project, The Fall, a British psychological thriller series that’scurrently out on Netflix, to look forward to.
Wetpaint Entertainment spoke with Jamie before “Welcome to Storybrooke,” and he dished about whether he might return to Onceand what to expect from the Fall. Here’s what he had to say.
Wetpaint Entertainment: We’re so excited to see you back on Once. What was it like to be on set again?
Jamie Dornan: Kind of really strange. It feels like I haven’t missed one day of filming. It was essentially 90 percent the same crew and cast, these people I worked with fairly consistently for a good four months. Same location, same faces. In a really lovely way, it was just like coming home to family. In a really eerie way it felt like I hadn’t been away.
Everyone wants to know if we’ll see you on the show again, at least in more flashbacks.
I hope so, yeah. I’m open to it, and as I said, it’s like family for me. If I can always play some kind of part in that family I’d love to. Obviously I have a career, and I can’t sit around and just hope and wait to come back to Once, but I’m definitely, definitely open to it, and I feel very privileged that they have, a couple of times now, brought me back in.
I think it would be cool if I could do that more, whether it’s as Hunstman or Graham. It’s the beauty of the show, and it’s the beauty of the way the whole team writes, that they can do whatever they want. They’re in complete control. Basically, they have the control over me in that way that Regina has the control over Graham, I guess. [Laughs]
When we asked fans for questions, many people wanted to know more about The Fall. Can you tell us a bit about that?
Oh yeah! It’s on BBC Two [in the UK], and it comes on — I think it’s going to be in the middle of May. So it’s not too far. I don’t know about the States. I don’t know if we’re definitely going to be on BBC America, but all that kind of stuff I think you’ll be able to get online, or buy online. There’ll be some snazzy tencho way of getting your hands on it if you live in the States.
It’s a very different character. It’s very dark. I play a pretty disgusting human being. Definitely a world away from Once Upon a Time. But yeah, [fans] don’t have to wait too much longer. Middle of May, I think.
