J. Crew Brompton Review

By Thelawsoffashion

j. crew brompton leather brown review must have stylist the laws of fashion stylistI have had my large brown leather J. Crew Brompton purse for about year now and I have determined it was time to let you know what I thought about it.  I paid $295 on an impulse spree where I purchased nearly every type of accessory at J. Crew.  Don’t judge.  You buy way more accessories after you have just had your first child and you have not lost one pound of baby weight–maybe even gained weight, so you feel like you just have to escape and buy some pretty things, clothes are out of the question and you only have 45 minutes until you have to rush back home thinking your baby will not survive without you.  And you can’t concentrate.

Here are the pros and cons of the J. Crew Brompton Bag, quick and dirty:

Pros: Beautiful leather, soft, consistent color, classic design, roomy, good price point, multiple strap options, classy detail, gold hardware and quality stitching.

Cons: Weird strings unraveling near the hardware, handles are junky and cheap, attracts stains, unstructured.

I love this purse, I think it is worth every dollar.   I think the biggest selling point for me was that the carrying options, you can use it as a tote, shoulder bag and cross body bag! Each person is unique with respect to their purse requirements.  So my cons may not be yours.  See my previous post on What to Look for in a Leather Bag.
