Not only does it occur in Bran Castle in Romania, it has one of the most delightful heroines you will meet. She is sassy, intelligent, fiercely independent, and not willing to compromise her principles. Her partner in crime is equally fun in a sexy and charming way. If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Miss Audrey Rose Wadsworth in her first novel, I highly recommend you do so.
From the sounds of it, I am going to be one of the few that really enjoyed Stephen King’s newest novel. Its feminist leanings are perfect for today’s chaos, as are the the environmental warnings. The best part, in my opinion, is that the story stays realistic, the ending particularly so. There are some fantasy elements, but they are remain elements and do not make up a majority of the novel. The whole thing makes you think and reevaluate your own actions in regards to the opposite sex. I enjoy novels that force me to reflect, and this one definitely fit the bill.
The nonfiction novel by Lydia Kang and Nate Pedersen was interesting in a gross, smh sort of way. After reading about the weird and wacky things people did in order to stay healthy, look better, or improve their mental health, I can only wonder what weird shit we are doing now that future generations will consider with horror.
