They were all so very, very good though so I did not mind in the least!

" data-orig-size="263,400" sizes="(max-width: 197px) 100vw, 197px" aperture="aperture" />Rhiannon Navin’s debut novel does not read like a debut novel. It reads like someone who has fine-tuned her craft to exquisite precision with amazing insight into human nature. She tackles such a difficult and emotional topic but does so with delicacy and grace. In fact, her novel is so good, she made me cry…at work. I want to send a copy to everyone in DC so that maybe they will finally do something about gun control.
Matt Haig’s latest is very different but quite profound. A little dense and overly verbose at times, his message is outstanding, as is his criticisms of modern society. The historical scenes were utterly fascinating, and I found myself reading just so I could get to those scenes all the quicker. Not to say the modern-day scenes were not good because they were indeed very good. It is just that the historical scenes were so realistic that I became convinced that there are people who age more slowly than the rest of us and have lived hundreds of years without us knowing. The story is so compelling and unique, and I can’t wait to see what others think.
Tayari Jones’ novel is un-freaking-believably amazing. I have no words to express just how good it is. I just want everyone to drop what they are reading and move to this one as soon as possible.
