It’s been a decent reading week. While I would always like to read more books, what I did read this week was addicting. In fact, I read one book in a day because I couldn’t stop. I hope this continues as we enter Thanksgiving weekend.

Louisa Morgan’s novel about a family of witches was a lot of fun. Crossing generations, you get an inkling of the types of persecution strong women have always faced. Plus, the magic is a blast.

Jennie Melamed’s debut novel is disturbing AF. Like, nightmare-inducing, stomach-churning disturbing. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t good, but this should definitely come with a warning for those who struggle reading about taboos.

The sequel to <i>The Diabolic</i> was fan-freaking-tastic. It has been a long time since a book caused such emotional turmoil and my heart to race quite like this one. The only problem is now I have to wait another year for closure. Gah!
