It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? Button
" data-orig-size="474,356" sizes="(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" aperture="aperture" /> Hosted by Kathryn from Book Date, this is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind. Here is what I read the week ending 16 April 2018. To learn more about each book, just click on the book cover!I keep plugging away one page at a time. It is about all I can do these days.
FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:
Book Cover Image: The Broken Girls by Simone St. James
" data-orig-size="265,400" sizes="(max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px" aperture="aperture" />Book Cover Image: The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen
" data-orig-size="263,400" sizes="(max-width: 197px) 100vw, 197px" aperture="aperture" />Book Cover Image: I Was Anastasia by Ariel Lawhon
" data-orig-size="263,400" sizes="(max-width: 197px) 100vw, 197px" aperture="aperture" />The Simone St. James book is heartbreaking and spooky and intense. Actually, so was the Greer Hendricks/Sarah Pekkanen collaboration. Both books kept me reading far longer than I should have every night. Both books kept me guessing, and both books had some surprises that I did not see coming. Both books were also the type that made me wish I had more time every day to read. I would definitely recommend them both, especially if you like Gothic or domestic thrillers.
The newest novel by Ariel Lawhon is a fun one in that she does an excellent job of keeping you guessing. Her meticulous research makes this fascinating on so many levels.
