" data-orig-size="272,400" sizes="(max-width: 204px) 100vw, 204px" aperture="aperture" />I really enjoy Christopher Farnsworth’s novels, and this series about a man who can get inside the minds of everyone around him is just fascinating.
I never thought I would say this, but I really do love astrophysics. I wish someone would have taught me what it was when I was in school. I was too afraid of the word physics to even consider studying it. What a shame. Thankfully, we have Neil deGrasse Tyson to teach us just how cool a subject it really is.
Claire Cameron’s new novel was so interesting when it was following Girl, the Neanderthal. When it shifted gears to a modern-day protagonist, it lost some of its potency. Still, I was upset when the book ended because I was not ready to let go of Girl and her story quite yet.
I adored Mary Kubica’s first novel. The rest have left me ambivalent. I gave her one last shot with this newest novel, but I think I’m done. Her female protagonist was almost embarrassing. There was one sentence in which she commented on how bad she was at math and therefore let her husband handle all of the finances. We don’t need female fictional characters perpetuating the stereotypes. Plus, the story was frankly boring. I feel horrible because I know Ms. Kubica is a wonderful person. I am just not a fan of her novels.
