Hosted by Sheila from Book Journey, this is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind.

Finished Last Week:

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
The Pearl That Broke Its Shell by Nadia Hashimi

I started the week with a bang. I don’t cry while reading very often, but Jennifer Niven’s newest had tears streaming down my face. Then I went to a book that discusses women and their roles in Afghanistan. What a tough subject but Nadia Hashimi does an excellent job with it.

Could Not Finish:

Thankfully none.

Currently Reading:

The Deep by Nick Cutter

Currently Listening:

As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride by Cary Elwes, Joe Layden, Rob Reiner

I had every intention of listening to this one this week. However, work was SO busy and I was so exhausted by the end of the day that having to listen to a book was more than my tired brain could handle. I am seriously hoping this next week is easier, so that I can finish this fun story about one of my favorite movies.

Up Next:

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
Amnesia by Peter Carey
The Undertaker's Daughter by Kate Mayfield

What are you reading?
