What Are You Reading?” is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind. Here is what I read the week ending 11 February 2019. To learn more about each book, click on the book cover! It was another tough week, but as long as I am reading something, I am happy.
FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:
DID NOT FINISH:
I stopped reading this one only because I read that Mr. James’ story dramatically changed between the initial galley and the finished version. Admittedly, I did consider marking it a DNF because I struggled to get used to the mythological elements of the story and the enigmatic writing style, but I was able to overcome my confusion and eventually found myself not wanting to stop reading it. However, once I found out about the changes, I want to make sure I am reading the same story as the author intended. I am sure the galley is excellent, but 15,000 extra words are no small matter, so it seemed only fair not to take the chance. I already have the finished copy on order and will definitely get back to reading it once it arrives.

CURRENT LISTEN:
There is not much listening to audiobooks going on lately. My brain can only handle music these days.
NEXT UP:
My few remaining February review copies and hopefully some old 2018 ones as well.
