It Only Takes a Smile | Polpo

Polpo LondontpSo you may remember (although I highly doubt it) that one of my very first posts on here I mentioned Polpo | read here Anyway, I know a lot of people enjoy Polpo so since we were around Soho one Sunday evening, we gave it another try; third time lucky huh? Ambiance wise, I love it. I love the fact that its “roots” come from Venezia, it has a great laid back way of things, serves small plates and you can drink wine from tumblers!! It also photographs really well, which is always a plus too, being a little photography blogger here! The menu isn’t too big, but offers a good enough amount of choice, unless you have a few food requirements which is when it then become a little more tricky shall we say. Pizzette of spinach, parmesan and a wonderful runny egg was enjoyed as was a plate of meatballs. However, the feedback was that the taste was not all too there and it lacked that “freshness”; maybe this was because it was Sunday evening?
