******** on the ice than Alex Ovechkin? I doubt it.

I normally ignore just about everything that comes out of Milbury's mouth, but both him and Jones were absolutely on target with their assessments of Ovechkin's game over the last two seasons.
While it wasn't exactly a revelation to me, it was great to hear it said during a nationally televised game. It was something that you couldn't imagine ever happening 2-3 seasons ago either which makes it all that more astonishing and awesome.
I also liked how they were talking about Ted Leonis being concerned with Ovechkin... Go ahead and poke and prod and push him... he's the type that will run back to Russia
O*****kin can run back to Russia.
He can take Jagr with him and drop him off on the way.
Having talent doesn't make you a super star, but being a duchebag does set you up for deportation

When he enters the attacking zone, he's predictable. For a guy who completely lacks a two-way game and is not near the leader or playmaker as Crosby, $9.5+ per year is a hefty price to be paying a guy who's goal totals have been under 40 in each of his last two seasons. Remarks made by those closely associated with Ovechkin pretty much sum it up...
His own goaltender (Neuvirth):
"He isn't what he used to be, that's for sure. And if a team like ours wants to have a chance at the Stanley Cup, we need Ovi to be the best. We all expect that from him; he has to be the real leader.". Former teammate and current Capitals goaltending coach, Olaf Kolzig:
"For Alex, it's a work ethic. He just has to get back to being the way he was in his younger days and maybe not get wrapped up too much in the rock star status that comes with being Alex Ovechkin. Alex has gotten away from playing hard, no-nonsense, honesty type of hockey -- exuberant hockey -- that he displayed the first three years that he was in the league. I think that's what endeared him to everybody. Then all of a sudden, he was still the same Alex, he was celebrating a certain way but what endeared him to everybody now made him look like a villain. Part of it is he's probably feeling not as loved as he used to be. So he brings that on himself sometimes." Away from his actual game, he was caught on national television calling Boudreau a "****ing *******". After Boudreau, they brought in Hunter and he instantly disliked Ovechkin, going as far as benching him during pivotal moments.
He physically confronted a female at an airport in Russia after the olympics - he tried grabbing her camcorder. In another instance, he confronted a male patron inside a bar, grabbed his camera and broke it.
Can you imagine Crosby, Malkin, Stamkos or Datsyuk acting like that in public? I don't think so. The guy has zero class.
