We were thinking of taking the kids on holiday this year but after looking the prices for the summer holidays I am thinking oh dear, it seems they have added a few 0′s on the end of their prices.
Looking at the week before or the week after the school term times it seems a weeks holiday is half the cost to when they are not at school.
Would it be wrong to keep them off school a week to take them on holiday? I mean they would only really be missing 5 days? They could have an illness that lasted 5 days? Or would you ask permission from the school?
I do know of a friend who asked the school permission and was declined and told she could be fined if she did this.
