Something I am always impressed with, and am also proud to be a part of is the Irish beauty blogging community. There is such a lovely vibe around the Irish blogging scene and I love that I can have chats with people who I can know about the ins and outs of blogging with as sometimes it’s hard to explain it to friends who don’t blog. To other bloggers that you don’t try out new make up until you’ve taken a photo, which needs good lighting obvs… other people don’t seem to get that somehow. I try to get to as many blogger meet-ups and events as I can so I can actually meet everyone in person but I don’t always have time to get to everything, so when I saw the #IrishbbloggersSS14 hashtag going around I was on board straightaway.
This is a little post just to say how impressed I am with the lady who put all the work into organising a Secret Santa swap for over 65 Irish beauty bloggers, Aisling from Total Make Up Addict. Seriously the amount of leg work this lady did, surveying the girls to determine prices, dates to send it by, hash tags, guidelines etc. that everyone agreed with and then organising the swap itself. Check out all the results here and prepare to be in awe with how much work she did! Thank you Aisling
I’ve been stalking my Secret Santa match on Instagram and picked a few bits for her based on that, I also designed a personalised little something for her that I hope she likes! Trying to wrap it without making it obvious that it’s a Christmas pressie was tough… it looks ugly on the outside but it is a party on the inside!
I will be in Manchester from this evening until Tuesday so hopefully I arrive home to my present! Also I’ll be following social media to check when my match gets hers, I hope she likes it!Keep an eye out for the results of the swap on the 21st of December!
Are you taking part in any Secret Santa swaps this year? Have you any tips?
