Latest report suggests Apple is planning to hold a special event on October 10 to unveil the next-generation iPhone, which is rumored to be dubbed iPhone 5S along with the cheaper, mid-range iPhone 5C.

Report came in from the Wall Street Journal-member blog, AllThingsD, which claims that the next-gen iPhone will be launched at an event on Sep. 10, featuring a better camera and Apple’s new iOS 7. AllThingsD’s sources have also confirmed that Apple has plans to release next version of the Mac OS X, although it’s not expected at the iPhone event in September.

So far, according to trusted rumors, next gen iPhone is expected to feature a 12-megapixel camera on the back, an A7 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with a 4-inch display packing 1.5M pixel resolution.

In the mean time, Bloomberg reports that Apple also wants to release next-gen iPads as well. According their report, Apple is expected to unveil a next-gen”iPad with thinner body design and an iPad mini with a high-resolution screen” in the holiday season, possibly within the last three months of 2013.
