Inward Turn Pickoff Move

Pick-off moves are an under-utilized part of the game.  My feeling is that if I can get an out without having to throw a pitch, I’m going to take it.  Like everything else, though, pickoffs take a lot of practice so that infielders and pitchers get comfortable enough to put plays on themselves based on what they see.  

One of the more challenging pick-off moves for young players to master is the inward pickoff move to second base.  However, if a player works on it, the move could pay some big dividends over the season.  Today’s video post gives some tips to make the move more effective.
