Paper Sculptures by artist Rogan Brown is an incredibly intricate and complex collection of paper cutouts. Brown draws his inspiration from patterns found in nature; from microscopic cells to massive geological formations. Brown creates each labor-intensive piece with thousands of hand-cut slices transforming it into intricate fragile sculptures. Much of his work is based on natural organic forms, but Brown says, “Although my approach involves careful observation and detailed ‘scientific’ preparatory drawings these are always superseded by the work of the imagination.”
