Charlotte Sometimes from NBCs The Voice
On Monday, October 7, 2013, folks will be lining up outside of Embers Venue in Rensselaer, Indiana to hear Charlotte Sometimes from Season 2 of NBC’s show The Voice.
little Indiana caught up with Charlotte Sometimes to ask a few questions before she heads to her big performance at the Rensselaer, Indiana event hall.
Although Charlotte isn’t a Hoosier–she is definitely performing in a very small Indiana town!
Interview with Charlotte Sometimes from Season 2 of NBC’s The Voice
How did you get your musical start? Have you always been into singing?
I started dancing when I was 3 and was also always singing. It’s always been a part of my life.
You were on The Voice, season 2! How did that feel when all four judges turned around?
I was so overwhelmed in a good way. I couldn’t believe they all turned for me. It was really cool.
What did you learn from your time on The Voice and how has that changed the way you perform today?I think it just made me a better performer. I learned to trust myself and my instincts more.
You’ll be performing in the small town of Rensselaer, Indiana soon. With a population under 6,000 people, is this the smallest place you’ve performed?
That’s rad! Yes, I think so!
What can folks expect to see at your upcoming show at Embers Venue in Rensselaer, Indiana?
Acoustic music with lots of percussion and a side of witty banter.
Do you have any words of wisdom for others that want to take their music to a different level?
I would say go with yourself and put all your eggs in one basket if you really want to go for it. No one will bet on you if you don’t bet on yourself.
Is there anything that you would like to add that you think Little Indiana readers should know about you, your work, or your concert tour?
I can’t wait to meet all of you! Get ready for some Jersey in little Indiana.
