A fellow BBB (beauty blogger buddy) of mine had a clever idea to pair up bloggers from around the globe and swap our fave beauty goodies in honor of Valentine’s Day. Absolutely love the international factor, as it’s a blast to see beauty through the eyes of a beauty blogger in another region! Melanie, of Beast & Beauty, is an Aussie (yep, Australia…the land of charming phrases like “g’day, mate” and stunning actors like Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman) is two parts edgy (her tag line says “join me in my journey but don’t bitch about the ride”) and two parts girly girl (she’s a total beauty junkie). Clever idea, Melanie…I say you make it an annual V-day tradition (so we blogging beauty junkies participants can continue getting off-the-radar beauty products from other parts of the world)…
So, my international beauty parcel included a slew of goodies including polishes, lipsticks, balm, a facial mud mask treatment, lotion, eye shadow, and falsies (love me some falsies…now I’ll finally be able to pass for the 5th Kardashian). And the coolest part of this clever blog swap is being introduced to non-US brands, notably: Redwin Organics Vanilla & Plum Moisturiser (love the scent profile and super creamy factor), Olive by Langlois lip balm (an all-natural lip balm made from olive oils and botanical extracts from the region of New South Wales), and Nail Colour in Ooh La La by Aussie-based makeup maker Australis (they offer an amazing selection of intense lacquer colors).
