Intergalactic Peace Jelly, a rock band from Boulder, Colorado, crammed a lot of changes in their new single Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtleneck!. They used nearly every trick from the '70s to create a sprawling calling card for their forthcoming album, Simple Harmonic Oscillator.
Sitting on the fence between progressive and Southern rock, they provide the soundtrack for a post-apocalyptic day where the chimpanzees are running wild and the Greek argonauts make a comeback through some freak time warp. It's a bit confusing, but it works somehow.
