It’s the start of a new year, and we’ve recuperated from holiday festivities, taken the time to reflect on the previous year, and made new goals for 2015. Whether it’s to lose weight, attain the dream career, travel, or just to smile more, most of our intentions are to feel good. I’m taking January to focus on getting into a more physical lifestyle again, now that I’m five months recuperated from my ACL surgery, and to be ME and be nice me. After all, we’re the first person we should treat with respect and love. I’ve spent the days after Christmas and New Year’s laying low, focusing on my goals, how I plan to approach them and which I want to focus on first. I’ve been creating my vision board for this year, and I noticed, to no surprise, that one of my biggest inspirations are words.
In the last two months of this past year, I began posting inspiring words, favorite quotes of mine that I’ve read in books, heard, or seen somewhere throughout my day. In an effort to finally commit to my mediation goals, I’ve been reading many books on living a mindful life, and instantly connected to this quote from The Secret. I have every intention to wake up feeling good every morning, and hopefully this quote starts your first week in 2015 on the right note. I’m looking forward to creating new recipes, crafting, designing table-scapes, and sharing it all with you within this upcoming year!
