Inspired and the Sleep Release New Single [free Mp3]

San Diego’s Inspired and the Sleep (@insprdandtheslp) recently released their new track “Take Pills”, the third single off of their forthcoming album Teenager from newly-launched label, Hanging Hills. The song begins with a transistor radio’s white noise and expands with tribal-like drumming and Greenhalgh’s engaging voice. Altogether, the song features flute, ukelele, bass, and a series of live percussion loops via their toy Casio keyboard’s drum machine setting. Greenhalgh describes the song’s meaning as a sarcastic dedication to how our society, ravers, and even he functions mentally, socially, and physically through the use of pills. A self-proclaimed insomniac, Greenhalgh may not take himself too seriously, but he manages to eloquently express his observations through music.
