Type of art: wood inlaid with ebony, ivory, micromosaic and silver
Note: Objects like this one were produced in limited quantities for the Ottoman court from the early 16th century on. When open, the board features a backgammon board (ivory and ebony inlays with details of silver and tiny mosaics); when closed, it provides two more gaming opportunities, including an ivory- and ebony-inlaid chessboard.
