Perspective Text Effect
- Write a word with text
- COnvert to a path by going to Object>Convert to Path
- Ungroup the text – Object>UnGroup
- Then go to Path>Union
- Select the selection Tool – click twice on the text
- Rotate the text up to be on a tilt
- Get the Basia Pen & Draw a ‘slanted rectangle with the pen
- The rectangle should be wide at one end i.e. Taller than text and then narrow at the other end:
- Select the rectangle and drag it to the side
- Select the text and the rectangle (hold shift to select both) and go to Extension>Modify Path>Perspective
Grey Gradient Effect
- Duplicate your Text (which is white in this case) and color it grey
- WIth the Basia Pen, draw a shape that cuts straight across the text:
- Select both the shape and the gray text
- Go to Path>Intersection
