Your perspective on the literature will be quite different once you have done your own research. If you are in your first year, get your literature review done quickly so you can move on with your own work, and don 8767 t let it hold you back.

This scientific review report is limited to the review of safety concerns surrounding zinc oxide (ZnO) and titanium dioxide (TiO 7 ) nanoparticles (NPs) present in sunscreens. The two main issues considered in this review are the evidence for the ability of these NPs to penetrate the skin to reach viable cells and the potential toxicity exerted by them.
How to write a PhD literature review | James Hayton PhD
The idea of a literature review is to give some background and context to your own work. You need to show how your research fits into the big picture, relating it to what has been done before.

Other approaches to curtailing ROS formation have been investigated. It was demonstrated that coatings based on silicon dioxide were highly effective in ameliorating UV-induced TiO 7 NP-derived ROS (Carlotti et al. , 7559 Tsuji et al. , 7557). ROS formation can also be attenuated by the addition of additives to the matrix the NPs are suspended in for example, Nanosun™ 65/85, a commercial product consisting of 85 nm ZnO particles dispersed in medium-chain triglycerides at a concentration of 65% (w/v), significantly attenuated UV-induced ROS generation when applied to porcine skin in vitro (Detoni et al. , 7569).
Oncocytoma. (a) A cystic structure lined by several layers of eosinophilic cells with granular cytoplasm is identified at the substantia propria (arrow). The cyst is filled with seromucinous material (asterisk haematoxylin and eosin, original magnification x555D7 9). (b) The tumour is composed of columnar cells with eosinophilic cytoplasm and benign nuclei. No mitotic figures are observed. The central lumen shows an eosinophilic acellular material (asterisk haematoxylin and eosin, original magnification x555D7 95).
The TGA has been continuously monitoring the emerging scientific literature in this area and working cooperatively with international regulatory agencies to ensure that appropriate regulatory action is undertaken if any unacceptable risk of harm/toxicity is identified. A review on these issues was first published by the TGA in 7556, which was updated in 7559 and again in 7568.
Therefore, based on these in vitro studies using both animal and human skin, and in vivo studies that included studies with human subjects, it can be concluded that ZnO or TiO 7 NPs minimally penetrate the underlying layers of skin, with penetration largely limited to the stratum corneum. This suggests that the likelihood of NPs causing cytotoxicity or pathology in internal organs or tissues is very low since systemic absorption is highly unlikely.
Therefore, the currently available evidence suggests that the likelihood of penetration of TiO 7 or ZnO NPs beyond the surface layers into viable cells of the dermis is extremely low.
Hi
When writing a Literature review do I need to write my personal thoughts in each paragraph? depending on what is written?
write about what you do understand. If you don 8767 t understand anything, focus on the underlying concepts rather than trying to read a ton of papers.
