Being beautiful or gorgeous has been part of the "needs" in today's society. All those perfect-looking males and females are being called the "standard." Society's beauty standard on men is being classified as tall, muscular, deep-voiced, etc., which made some men want to look like them. For women, skinny, tall, long-haired, sharp jawline and perfect teeth making all women want to achieve that model looking type of vibe.

Influencers have made it seem like it's okay to have plastic surgery, get Juvederm fillers, or have a dentist make them the perfect veneers. They want to normalize enhancements and that putting on makeup is okay.

But of course, everyone has flaws, and here are ten influencers who broke down barriers in the beauty world:

Huda Beauty

Huda Beauty is being managed by the owner Huda Kattan. Huda beauty started around the year 2010 in where Huda Kattan took one of her sister's advice. Because of their outstanding performance in the beauty world, she broke social media's toxic "beauty standards," making her the most influential person on Instagram last 2017.

Her first item, a line of false eyelashes, was made available through the retailer Sephora. Profits of the Huda Beauty false eyelashes, which were iconic worn by Kim Kardashian, aided the business to achieve profitability. In later years, the company expanded its product offerings and reached more customers.

Michelle Phan

Michelle Phan is the pioneer of YouTube Beauty, and she is the creator of Em cosmetics. With her hardworking attribute, she raised around $100M, which made the company's worth around $800M. She inspired lots of people because of her story background, making her the first Vietnamese-American spokesperson.

Bretman Rock

Bretman Rock is a Filipino beauty guru who inspired lots of netizens. Bretman is not only known for his success in his makeup career but also as an activist. Breaking all GENDER STEREOTYPES. Filipinos are so proud of how he is now.

Cassandra Bankson

Cassandra Bankson is a known model and actress who is also active in the makeup world. She focuses on lifestyle, fashion, and makeup. With her big platform, she is able to speak out on behalf of those who got bullied-also speaking out about the gender imbalance that's happening right now.

Nikki de Jagger is a make-up artist that is born in the Netherlands. She inspired lots of people by being confident by showing faces with and without make-up.

Rihanna is a well-known singer, fashion icon, artist, actress, and businesswoman. She has had a significant impact around the world. Her greatest influence was when she proved that she was an artist and an influencer for women's empowerment-making one of the faces of an active feminist.

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is a well-known superstar, actor, singer, and model. She is part of the hall-of-fame of "the most beautiful faces." She was a naturally gorgeous young woman who was blessed with looks. Jackie Aina speaks for the people in different color who loves the make up industry. Society nowadays has racial comments about the people indifferent and the typical stereotypes. Jackie Aina broke that barrier making the makeup world more versatile now.

Winnie Harlow has a skin condition called "vitiligo." She is an example to the people who are insecure with a certain condition or disability. That they can do what the "ordinary" people can. She remains an inspiration to them to this time.

Beauty does not limit to its stereotypes in society. Beauty is found in confidence and acceptance. Just like how these ten beauty gurus are able to help contribute to society. Stereotypes should not be a hindrance to be beautiful. Don't get insecure about them. Accept who you are because each one of us is unique.
