Indians

While his debut album as Indians doesn’t hit shelves until January 29 of next year, Copenhagen-native Soren Lokke Juul was the talk of the town during New York City’s CMJ Music Marathon this October.  A recent addition to the 4AD roster (also home to The National, GrimesPurity Ring, Camera Obscura, St. VincentIron & Wine, and so many more), Indians has a lot in store for us, some of which he put on display when he visited us at Degraw Sound in Brooklyn for a Buzzsession.  With only his acoustic guitar in hand, Juul played two tracks off his upcoming album, Somewhere Else.  Watch “Cakelakers” and “I Am Haunted” below.

‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie.  With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs.  This Buzzsession was shot at Degraw Sound, a Brooklyn recording studio on the Park Slope/Gowanus border, owned and operated by producer/engineer/musician Ben Rice (BlackbellsThe Mooney Suzuki).  Interested in booking time there?  Click here.
