Indiana Bridges are so incredible–and varied! Get a look at this unique stone bridge.

You can find this amazing 1909 built bridge in Friendship, Indiana. Is that name suited to small town or what?

Handcrafted of stone, the Friendship Bridge has stood welcoming small Indiana town traffic since 1909. Bonus: It is still in use today!

A 4-span stone arch bridge, it’s not something you see every day and, if it weren’t for Katherine Taul of Ripley County Tourism, we probably wouldn’t have known about it at all.

Spanning over Raccoon Creek on Olean Road it’s out there, sure, but totally worth the trip.

The view on the top is pretty darn neat. But if you want to really get in there? You’ll need four wheel drive for this one!

Our fearless leader (Katherine) took us down to the bottom of the creek. We got up close and personal with this bit of Indiana history.

At the time of our visit, the water underneath Friendship Bridge wasn’t exactly roaring. In fact, I was able to hop on over underneath one of the stone arches! Now that is just awesome.

And that, my friends, is the essence of little Indiana! Every town has something. Now–go out there and find it!
