Mom in Training is a giveaway and review blog written by a Hoosier! Let’s face it: We all like free stuff. Mom in Training combines reviews and giveaways to make every day feel a little like Christmas (but without the day long cooking marathon).

With this heat wave? Well, consider her just one more Indiana blogger to turn to as you soak up that A/C!

Indiana Blogs: Mom in Training

Why did you start Mom in Training? (and how long have you been blogging?)
I originally started blogging back in 2008 as a way to stay connected with my family and friends by sharing happenings in our family.  Somehow along the way one offer for a product review lead to another, and another, and thus I began blogging in a new way!

I have always enjoyed having the opportunity to review new products and sharing my opinions with others so it just felt like a good fit. Of course I am still finding new ways to grow my blog and new things that excite me.  The most recent being Indiana tourism.  Just made my first review based outing with my family!

What are three of your most favorite posts (with links, please!)
This was a hard one, but here are my three favorite posts:
Deep River Waterpark of Indiana: Fun for All!

Day Out With Thomas The Train

Squinkies for Boys (and girls too)

What keeps you ready and raring to post? Why do you blog?
I get most excited every time a new product lands on my doorstep. I find myself wanting to tear open the package and start “playing with” whatever prize is inside! I’m like a kid on Christmas morning.

So I guess that is what keeps me ready and raring to go and it’s why I blog, I really just honestly enjoy it.  I don’t do it to make money, I do it for my pleasure, and to share my honest opinions with my readers.

What’s your favorite part of having a giveaway and review blog?
Besides what I mentioned above the great review items I get and being able to share them with my family.  It’s been great sharing in the reviews with my kids. They have been a big help in reviewing products so I totally love that aspect of our togetherness!

What’s the hardest part of having a giveaway and review blog?
The hardest part is managing my time wisely.  I want to bring honest reviews in a timely manner to both the sponsors and my readers, but I also have to make time for my family life too.

When you aren’t working on your blog and checking the mail for your latest fun freebie, what are you doing?
Besides spending time with my family of course, I also like to crochet, bargain hunt, cook and read.

Free is Good

I know I can’t resist a good giveaway! Thanks Stacy for taking time out of your busy day spent craftin’, reviewin’, and parenting!
