Indian Style Decoded

By Tanvi Rastogi @tanviidotcom
Have I over-done the Indian-wear outfit posts? Well, even if I have ... who cares! (;

... so today I thought I would decode my Indian-wear style. I believe, the best way to stand out of the crowd in ethnic wear is to avoid everything with embellishments, heavy work, and atrocious stones and bling.

  • I like simplicity, flattering cut, and pleasing colors e.g. this and this
  • I favor natural fabrics, indian work and vintage clothing e.g. this and this.
  • Lastly, the overall weightless-ness of an outfit is an absolute must for me e.g. this and this
While I believe I am equally experimental in my Indian-wear as I am in my western-wear, but I am definitely a borderline nationalist when it comes to my choices regarding the former.
Since I wore a Saree on last Diwali, I thought I will switch it up with year with a suit.   Salwaar Kameez, India, Diwali, Tanvii.com
