Ginger-Cardamom Tea

Ginger Cardamom Tea is my favorite though I usually prefer Masala tea. 

I love to have a cup of hot Ginger Cardamom tea in the evening this is a great way to relax and refresh.
Adding cardamom and ginger is a great way to make the tea delicious.
Let's see how to make a cup of strong and tasty Ginger- cardamom tea.

Ginger-Cardamom Tea


Main Ingredients: milk, Ginger 
and Cardamom.
Recipe Type: beverage
Cuisine: Indian
Level of Cooking: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 3.5 cups water
  • 1.5 teaspoon black tea leaves
  • 2- inch ginger 
  • 4 whole cardamoms pods
  • 1 cup  milk
  • Sugar to taste

Preparation:

  • Peel and wash the piece of ginger.
  • Crush the ginger and cardamom pods together in a mortar and pestle.

Method:

  1. Boil all the ingredients except sugar and milk (tea leaves, ginger and crushed cardamom with the peel and water) in a pan on a medium flame.
  2. Reduce the flame and simmer this mixture for five minutes.
  3. Add sugar and milk and bring the mixture to a boil again on a medium flame for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Strain the tea and serve hot.

Note:

  • You can skip adding the sugar while making the tea. 
  • Serve the hot ginger cardamom tea with snacks like pakoras, biscuits or cookies.
