Modernizing our worlds will always be ours. Be it in design, technology or forms of socialization, we must keep evolving, irrelevant of the set pace. But there seems to be a need for conserving an antiquated, even archaic aspect to our surroundings, parallel to our perpetual evolution towards the next modernity. I continue to discover coffeehouses that clearly express the forth moving minds of engineers and artists. However, those gathering places we mostly refer to as cozy are not those exemplifying modernity.
One of my favorite places for respectable coffee is Cupcake Café, in which the tone for modern life has yet to be set.
