Bourjois Rice Powder - £9.99
I've always seen powders as dulling and mattifying, a necessary step in my makeup routine in order to keep the grease levels down, but not something I wanted to apply. However, after finding the Bourjois Rice Powder, my views have definitely changed as I can now get the glow-y and fresh look that I am after, without compromising on the staying power of my base.
A comeback from the very first Bourjois collection, this little beauty has a lot of history along side it, but that isn't to say that it doesn't work just as well in the modern world. The pink toned powder with a touch of shimmer, but don't fear, this just translates into a nice glow on the skin, brightens the face and blurs out imperfections. Unfortunately, it is a loose powder (read: can very easily get very messy), so it isn't the most convenient of products, but the twist and click method in the top seems to work pretty well, so I'll let that one slide. For a more intense highlight, this could be used with a denser brush over the high points of the face, but I like to use a tiny bit with a loose fluffy brush to set all my makeup down. It's not all that easy to track down, and for good reason, it's fabulous.
Plus the vintage looking packaging looks stunning just laying out on the side, what more could you ask for in a makeup product?
