Nobody says no when the elder statesman of punk gets in touch. Iggy Pop got Joshua Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), drummer Matt Helders (Arctic Monkeys) and multi-instrumentalist Dean Fertita (The Dead Weather & QOTSA) to help him out on his forthcoming new album Post Pop Depression.
The groundwork was laid by Pop and Homme during writing sessions in the desert. It's an album that looks back (German Days points to his classic albums The Idiot and Lust For Life) and forward - Pop is always game for trying out new stuff and the same goes for Homme. Lead single Gardenia can be streamed on YouTube.

Post Pop Depression will be released on March 18 (Rekords Rekords/Loma Vista/Caroline International). Pre-orders (vinyl, CD, digital) are available.
Plans are made to tour behind the release. The core band that recorded the album will be expanded by guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen ( QOTSA) and Matt Sweeney.
