Iggy Azalea Makes History With “Fancy”

It’s been six weeks and Iggy Azalea’s latest song “Fancy” has remained on top. Making her the first female rapper and I use that word loosely to accomplish this long run. According to Billboard, she passes Lil’ Kim, who spent five weeks at No. 1 with her star-studded collaboration “Lady Marmalade” in 2001.

Other female rappers on the list include Lauryn Hill, who spent two weeks at No. 1 with her 1998 single “Doo Wop (That Thing),” and Shawnna, who enjoyed one week at the top with 2003′s Ludacris-assisted hit “Stand Up.”Iggy celebrated the news on Twitter. “6 weeks at number 1!!
