If i Were the Prime Minister for a Day

Posted on the 17 October 2013 by M Shekhar @politicscope
In Anil Kapur starring film Nayak, the actor is made Chief Minister for a day, and tries all possible efforts to correct the system. Recently, in a TV show a woman from the audience, reminding him his previous role, asked, "If you were the Prime Minister for a day, what would you do?" The Politicscope asked same question to a number of persons and received a number of responses. Here are a few thoughts by professionals.

TIMELINE

"I won't leave chair," responded Anil Kapoor, adding, "I was kidding." He further said: "Tried to eliminate the enemies of the nation - within and beyond border."

Front SHELF

"Would do whatever needed to be in power for next 5 yrs, in the best interest of the nation."

Bribe & Dearness can't be removed in one day - I would like to do:
1. Make CBI Independent.
2. Establish a committee (1 Gram Panchyat member + 1 honest villager + 1 retd. Judge - preferably) in every Gram Panchyat who will make sure to provide & implement all the state/central govt. schemes (like etc) for every person of village.
3. I'd try to make efforts to dismantle multi party system at national as well as state level. Only two parties should be in our country the ruling party & the opposition.
4. I'd implement - e-work, to make the transparency at every step (govt/private) should be online. Automatically our country will become a developed country in next 5 years.

BOTTOMLINE

Vijay Pandey, a senior HR professional also responded like actor Anil Kapoor.
He says, "Would do whatever needed to be in power for next 5 yrs, in the best interest of the nation."
And, now - the Politicscope is putting the same question before you.
