ICONIC LONDON ILLUMINATOR & PREP-SET-GLOW WATER MIST - REVIEW
By now, you've seen ICONIC LONDON'S products all over social media. A favourite of makeup artists and celebrities, you probably know the brand thanks to their amazing Illuminators.
Coming in 4 shades, their Illuminators are liquid shimmers with an intense, metallic shine and a vegan & cruelty free formula. They are made in Italy and feature a dropper for easy application.
More than just an highlighter, this product is so versatile - you can use it mixed with your moisturiser for a natural glow sans a foundation, mixed in with foundation for that glowy complexion or as a traditional highlighter for the cheekbones and cupid's bow.
For that shine on the body, a small drop mixed in with your favourite body moisturiser or, lightly buffed over the decolletage or shoulders will do the trick!
SHINE: A pink based shimmer to add a pearly shine
BLUSH: A peachy antique-rose based shimmer that adds a warm rosy glow
ORIGINAL: A champagne-toned shimmer to add a golden shine
GLOW: A terracotta toned shimmer that bestows a rich bronze glow
I was lucky enough to put to the test 2 shades, Shine and Glow. Shine is an absolutely stunning soft silvery pink hued shimmer that is a great match on my fair skin. Glow is a deep bronze that would look beautiful on deeper skin tones, though with a very light hand and applied on the cheekbones before foundation, this shade provides a nice bronze glow to my complexion.
The look you're going for can be customised, whether you want that blinding mirror like, wet highlight or just a nice glow to the skin. I actually don't even need to use a dropful for the whole face as a little goes a very long way. I simply dab the product that's on the dropper on the high points of my face.
For me, the best way to blend the product onto the skin is simply just with my fingers, dabbing the product in. For a softer finish, using a wet sponge will give you a more gentle highlight. It blends into the skin seamlessly and has great lasting power, it's a product I'll be reaching for on the regular!
The ICONIC LONDON Prep-Set-Glow Water Mist can be used 3 ways, as its name suggests - as a skin preparation spray before applying foundation, a setting spray as the final step in a makeup routine or as a face mist to add a bit of glow whenever you need it.
Made in the EU and also vegan in formula, it is formulated with ingredients such as Cucumber, Green Tea, Chamomile and Vitamin E, which help hydrate and condition the skin. The mist has lovely soft floral fragrance and the shimmer pigments in the bottle add a soft glow to the skin.
My tip for this product is to have some good distance between the bottle and your face and pat it onto the skin after spraying so you can help disperse the glow pigments.
